I was walking past this pleasant spot one mid-June evening in the fair English village of Hambledon…

…when I chanced upon an equally pleasant woman out walking her Cockapoo (dog – combination of cocker spaniel and poodle) who was suffering a degree of hay fever so unweildy that it necessitated hiding her eyes behind sunglasses. When I used my Nikon’s zoom facility, a few minutes after parting (having first exchanged life-stories), I discovered why…

  1. I suffer from hay fever and live in this area and can confirm its crippling!

      So many people do these days. It has been suggested that has something to do with modern life – food, plastics, pollution, that sort of thing. For all my ailments at least I’m spared hay fever.
